❄️ This blows me away: LG’s upcoming Artcool AI Air can detect a room’s layout and direct cool air to the people it senses. It knows when a window is open and will automatically switch to energy-saving mode. Plus, it’s got a sleek black mirror finish. Price and ETA? Both TBA.
📱 Switch layouts in Phone app: In iOS 26, the Phone app looks a little different. Tap the Filter button (three lines) in the top-right corner and choose between the Classic layout or the new Unified view. Unified puts your recent calls, voicemails and contacts on a single screen so everything’s together.
💻 macOS 26: Launchpad is gone, replaced by a simple Apps icon in the Dock (right of Finder). Click it and you’ll see a layout that feels like Spotlight. At the top is a Search bar for opening apps, or use the Categories tabs to filter. You can also just scroll through everything installed.
Fix the Apple Watch app mess: That honeycomb layout looks cool until you’re jabbing the wrong app. To switch it, press the Digital Crown, swipe down and tap List View. Now your apps are in alphabetical order. Want those tiny icons back? Scroll down again and tap Grid View.
Snap layouts in Windows 11: Great for multitasking. Open any app and hover over the Maximize button. You’ll see layout options for splitting your screen, like halves or quarters. Click where you want the current app to go, and Windows will prompt you to fill in the rest. Way easier than dragging and resizing.
Read your Kindle sideways: Prefer a wider view? While reading, tap the screen and hit the Aa formatting button. Go to Layout, then under Orientation, choose the Landscape icon. Handy if your iPad habits are hard to shake.
YouTube adds AI summaries: If you’re a Premium paying subscriber, you might notice a new layout. At the top, you’ll see a featured video, thumbnails and an AI description. Tap the main one to start watching.
Adjust text size on Windows: When you set up Windows 11, it picks the text and icon size for your screen. To change it, go to Settings > System > Display. Under Scale & layout, check your Display resolution, then try different Scale percentages (like 100% to 200%) until it feels right.
📸 Fix the iPhone Photos app: Yep, the redesigned iOS 18 layout kinda stinks, but you can clean it up. Open the Photos app, scroll to the bottom and tap Customize & Reorder. Untick what you don’t need, then drag the rest into whatever order you want. Nice.
