Not an Amazon Prime member? Sign up before this big milestone

Mark your calendars, as Amazon’s annual Prime Day is just around the corner. Well, sort of. There has still been no official word about when the actual day will be, but it’s always good to be ready.

Many people look forward to Prime Day every year. Next to Black Friday, it is one of the annual shopping occasions to score some huge bargains — if you know all the tips and tricks.

Apart from knowing the prices and whether you will save money, the most important thing you will need for Prime Day is an Amazon Prime membership. Without it, you can miss out. Read on for some Prime details you won’t want to miss.

Here are the details on Prime

Speculation aside, the annual event will most likely take place at the end of June. That still leaves you with ample time to grab a Prime membership and get familiar with what it offers.

Let’s get the most important question out of the way first – how much does it cost? An annual Prime membership will set you back $119, and monthly membership will cost you $12.99. It works out to be about $3 a month cheaper to go the annual route.

A Prime membership gives you access to:

  • Prime Video streaming service
  • Ad-free music streaming on Amazon Music
  • Unlimited photo storage
  • Unlimited reading through Amazon Kindle

There is no distinction between the annual or monthly plan perks, but there is an $8.99 Prime Video service for those without a Prime membership. This only allows you access to the Prime Video streaming service.

What else is included in Prime?

In addition to the above-mentioned services, there are some other perks that come with a membership.

Amazon recently rolled its Prime Now service into the main app and website, but you can still get super-fast deliveries. You are also entitled to free two-day delivery on prescription medication from Amazon Pharmacy. Tap or click here to see how Amazon is making a big change to its fastest delivery option.
