🧩 Losing the plot: A Canadian guy chatted with ChatGPT for 300 hours and a million words, and the bot basically gaslit him into believing he’d discovered a world-saving math formula (paywall link). A former OpenAI safety researcher dug into the transcripts and found the wild part: The bot lied about reporting itself to OpenAI. I, too, have been personally victimized by math.

Update your NVIDIA drivers: Outdated ones can cause annoying glitches while gaming or streaming. Open the NVIDIA app, go to Drivers in the left menu, select Game Ready Driver, then click Download and Install. You’ll get the latest fixes, performance boosts and new features. Check it often.

Boost your mic volume on Windows: If your mic sounds too quiet, go to Settings > System > Sound > More sound settings. In the pop-up, open the Recording tab, find your mic, right-click and select Properties. Under Levels, set Microphone to 100, then hit Apply and OK. If that doesn’t fix it, unplug the mic, Restart your PC and plug it back in.

Android not receiving texts? Check your signal first by looking for bars in the top corner. Then tap and hold the Messages app, select the “i” icon, scroll to Storage and tap Clear cache. Restart your phone. If messages still don’t come through, make a call or text someone else to check that your SIM is active.

📍 Share your location in Google Maps: Let friends or family see where you are in real time. Open the Google Maps app, tap your profile icon in the top right, then go to Location sharing > New share. Choose how long to share (like 2 hours), then pick who to send it to. FYI: You can also select Share via link for others.

Translate pages in Chrome: Chrome can automatically translate websites for you. Click the three-dot menu (top right), go to Settings > Languages > Google Translate, and toggle on Use Google Translate. Then choose your preferred language under Translate into this language. Voilà, you can read foreign pages.

🔊 Fix crackling laptop speakers: Open Device Manager > Audio inputs and outputs > find your speaker > right-click > Update driver > Search automatically for drivers. No luck?
