What I’m thankful for this year: Tech edition
- An instant way to talk to or text the people I love. How lucky are we all to have that?
- GPS. Remember printing out MapQuest directions? Oh, the good old days.
- A phone that can hold so many pictures that turn into treasured memories. Pro tip: “Like” or tap the little heart on any good ones you take this holiday season to easily find them later.
- Online shopping. Call me lazy if you want, but boy, is it nice to have just about anything I need show up at my house. Be nice and tip your delivery people extra during the holidays if you can.
- ChatGPT! OK, it’s far from perfect, but it’s saved me a ton of time this year. Here’s how to get better results.
- Our sponsors. I only work with companies I stand behind, and they keep my radio show, podcasts and newsletters free to you.
- I saved an important one for last: You! Because of your support, we can provide tech news, tips and advice that help millions of people. Thank you, truly.

- Kohl’s is offering savings on many items, from clothing to jewelry, toys and more.
We may earn a commission from purchases, but our recommendations are always objective.
