Veteran families can save big on wireless plans with T-Mobile

November 11th is Veterans Day and this year marks the 101st anniversary. It’s a special time to honor the service and sacrifice of members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marines and Space Force.

We thank you for your service — and our sponsor T-Mobile is right there with us. Through times of crisis and times of peace, T-Mobile is committed to serving military and Veteran families. The Un-carrier goes beyond military discounts to provide career assistance and community support for U.S. military service members, veterans, and their families.

Let’s explore the ways T-Mobile says “thank you” each and every day to members of the military and their families.

Military discounts

With the T-Mobile military discount, active duty military members, veterans, current or former Guard or Reserve members and Gold Star Families qualify for 50% off family lines on T-Mobile’s Magenta Military rate plans.

Get this plan with 5G access included on America’s largest 5G network when you buy a 5G compatible device. Service starts as low as $25 per line for four lines (that’s a $60 discount from Magenta – four lines for $160 per month) with taxes and fees included. Everything’s bigger in Texas: A San Antonio man listed a Stealth Bomber aircraft on Facebook Marketplace for $2.9 million. The description includes, “Don’t ask me how I got it” and “You couldn’t imagine the hoops I had to jump through to get this.” The Air Force confirmed the post is, of course, bogus.

80 times the going rate

What the Air Force paid for soap dispensers on its C-17 aircraft — almost $150,000. They also overpaid by nearly $1 million for a dozen different spare parts. Why? Contracting officials failed to review invoices. If you’re reading this with any government pull, I can provide a daily newsletter 80 times the going rate. Oh … that’d still be free.

$745 million

The price for a top-secret Air Force B‑21 Raider. The U.S. nuclear bomber came out of stealth for its first flight test in late May 2024. It’s designed to be “virtually invisible” to enemy radar, and it pretty much looks like a UFO with wings. Trust me, you’re gonna wanna see this.

Tanks a lot: A Florida man is spending six-and-a-half years in prison after making $100 million selling phony Cisco gear for classified systems used by the U.S. Air Force, Army and Navy. Most of these devices were sold on Amazon and eBay. Yup, our military bought fake gear on eBay.

Experimental AI F-16: That’s a lot of scary letters and numbers. Last week, Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall flew over 550 mph in an F-16 piloted completely by AI. After the hourlong flight, Kendall said he’d seen enough to trust AI to launch weapons in war. Big words and he says, it’s a security risk not to use this tech.
