Ah, the great debate: Blue bubbles vs. green bubbles.
Google's brilliant tool for searching for things online
How do you search for a specific dress if you don’t know the designer? There might also be times when you can’t accurately put what you are looking for into words. That usually leaves you with two options: give up or resign to spending too much time searching numerous search results.
Thankfully, Google has a third option to make your searches faster and more effortless. With multisearch in Lens, you can look up text and images simultaneously.
Here’s how it works
Google Lens uses image recognition technology that lets you find things online from what you see through your phone’s camera. It’s designed to show you relevant information on objects it identifies. To use the function, you must open the free Google app and tap the camera icon next to the search bar.
NOTE: Sorry, Apple fans, Google Lens isn’t available to you yet.
You can also use the free Google Lens app.
Taking a quick picture of things such as a flower, an animal or a chair, Google brings up similar results. It’s a great way to identify unknown objects, but it works just as well with words.
When you select text at the bottom, it scans the words and lets you search for them or copy them to a notepad. If the text isn’t in your native language, Google will translate it for you.

Unique bag bling
I always pop an AirTag in my checked bag, just in case it doesn’t turn up on the baggage carousel. But I also need a different kind of bag finder for when it does turn up so it’s not lost in a sea of black suitcases.
- Luggage tag: This silicone bag tag with an initial ($7.99) has 26 letter choices and three color options. Green “K” for me, thanks.
- Bag belt: A multifunctional bag belt ($9.99) keeps your stuff from spilling onto the tarmac and makes it easy to spot.
- Strap cover: Another two-for-one luggage identifier, these neoprene bag handle wraps ($9.99) are cushy for carrying and bright for spotting. So smart.

Your monitor is made up of millions of pixels. Each pixel is a group of red, green and blue subpixels that combine to create the images you see on your computer screen. When a few are dead or stuck, it can be super distracting.

20% of produce contains unsafe levels of pesticides
For produce in U.S. grocery stores. Takeaways from Consumer Reports’ analysis: Bell peppers, blueberries (even frozen) and potatoes must be organic to be safe. Celery, collard greens and strawberries must be U.S.-grown or organic to be safe. And green beans must be U.S.-grown and organic to be safe. tl;dr: Buy organic when you can.
