Most content projects spiral or settle around the “wow, that’s cute” mark. This one went 30 feet down.

Kala, aka “Tunnel Girl,” has gone viral for building an 80-foot-long tunnel under her Virginia home, complete with wooden supports, communications wiring, air management and electrical “fit to run a mine.”

After a stop-work order (because, obviously), she came back with legit permits and structural plans, like a contractor who discovered paperwork halfway through the mine.

It’s Bob Ross meets DIY civil engineering, with a touch of “what could possibly go wrong?” Like HGTV, but the reveal is underground.
