Nobody does Halloween like America with an entire night of festive trick-or-treating until you can’t fit any more candy in your bag. Want to really get into the Halloween spirit? Tap or click here to get spooky with your smart speakers.
But how do you know where all the good houses and activities are located without scouting them out in person? Fortunately, a social media platform has done some of the work for you.
If you want to hit as many houses as possible and check out other fun activities along the way, Nextdoor has got you covered. Maximize your trick-or-treat haul with this handy map.
What is Nextdoor?
Nextdoor is a handy social media platform that allows neighbors and communities to plan and communicate. From community announcements to lost dogs, Nextdoor is estimated to be used by one-third of U.S. households to share important information.
In an attempt to make Halloween even better, Nextdoor has paired with Reese’s to bring users an interactive treat map that will help you to plan the best trick-or-treat route as well as the best houses to get a real scare.
How does the interactive treat map work?
Current users can participate by marking their house on the app. If they are handing out candy, their home will be marked with a candy icon. If they are making a spooky home, it’ll be marked with a haunted decor icon. Doing both? Choose the Ghost icon.
Users can then log in to the interactive map to see who is handing out candy or truly frightful scares in their neighborhood and plan accordingly.
Is there a catch?
Nextdoor is 100% free to use, as is the interactive map, but you’ll have to sign up for an account if you want to use it. It does give you access to other members of your community for future communications and safety concerns. You can sign-up for Next Door here.
Once you’ve signed up for an account, you can access the interactive treat map here any time you want.
