Position Summary:

The Social Media Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the company’s social media accounts across all major platforms. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that manages the creation, scheduling, and publishing of social content to support brand promotions, marketing initiatives, and approved campaigns.

The Social Media Manager creates most visual assets independently, including static graphics and platform-formatted visuals, using established brand guidelines. Content is executed based on approved direction and materials such as links, copy guidance or clips when available, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, consistency and timely publishing.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies that support programming, promotions and brand initiatives across all platforms.
  • Create, publish and manage daily content including written posts, graphics, short-form video, and basic motion content for Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, Rumble, Bluesky and LinkedIn.
  • Design or adapt platform-specific graphics and visual assets using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
  • Collaborate with producers, on-air talent, editorial, and marketing teams to promote shows, segments, giveaways, events and digital campaigns.
  • Maintain and manage social content calendars, ensuring deadlines are met and priorities are aligned with programming schedules.
  • Monitor performance metrics and audience engagement, adjusting content and posting strategies based on results.
  • Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages and audience feedback in a timely, brand-appropriate manner.
  • Support paid social campaigns as needed, including asset preparation, copy alignment and performance tracking.
  • Stay current on platform updates, trends and best practices, particularly for short-form video and algorithm-driven distribution.
  • Track competitor activity and identify opportunities for growth, testing and cross-platform amplification.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on social media management experience, preferably in media, broadcast, entertainment or a high-volume content environment.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice across platforms while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Demonstrated experience with graphic design or visual content creation for social media.
  • Experience creating and managing short-form video content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
  • Comfortable working with social analytics and publishing tools such as Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later or similar.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexible schedule – Monday through Friday, In-Office
