F-35 pilots get custom helmets fed video from six infrared cameras around the aircraft, letting them look through the cockpit floor and see what’s underneath. The visor also handles night vision and overlays targeting information from hundreds of miles away. It’s basically a wearable control room doing 1,000-ish mph.
