Let's face it: Math isn't everyone's strong suit. Basic math, algebra, geometry, calculus and more can give quite a few people more than they bargain for.

Now that my son Ian is tackling harder and harder courses in school, I'm not always able to help him. I'm America's Digital Goddess, not a math teacher. But I can direct him to the resources that can.

I've found a site that's great for Algebra students who need a little bit of help. It's brought to you from Robert Ikeda, who holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford, a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics, along with 3 years of tutoring experience, so you know he knows his stuff.

MathPapa is a helpful site that gives step-by-step instructions to solving the problem instead of just giving out the answer.

To get started, enter the problem into the "Calculate it!" bar. Once you hit the enter button, you will see a full explanation and a step-by-step guide on how to solve the problem.

There are also interactive lessons and tutorials to help you or your student grasp the subject matter better.
