Quick way to solve any math problem using your phone's camera

Math was never my best subject in school, especially when it came to algebra. Calculators made it easier, but you still had to know all of the steps, enter in the equation and get things in the right order. Then after all of your tedious efforts, all you could do is hope that you didn't skip something that caused you to get the wrong answer.

The only thing worse than not being able to solve the math problem in front of you is not being able to help your kids or grandkids with their math homework.

If math isn't really your thing, or if you know someone who's struggling with math concepts, an app called Photomath can help.

Photomath makes it easy to get the right answer every time. Simply open the app, point your phone's camera at the math problem you've written, and get the results.

If you're worried that Photomath seems a bit like cheating, or won't really help you to understand the concept of why that particular answer is correct, there are more features to this app you should know about.

First, the app also includes a smart calculator, so you can use it the regular "old fashioned" way if you'd like. Second, you can also view step-by-step instructions for each problem it solves. This means Photomath could be an essential tutoring tool to help kids with their lessons.

Photomath is a free download for both Apple and Android and supports arithmetics, integers, fractions, decimal numbers, roots, algebraic expressions, linear equations/inequations, quadratic equations/inequations, absolute equations, systems of equations, logarithms, trigonometry, exponential and logarithmic functions, derivatives and integrals.

The app also includes handwriting recognition software so you can use it as a tool alongside your notes.
