It’s not a bad idea to wrap your car keys in aluminum foil – here’s why

We’ve all heard the stories about people wearing tin foil hats for a variety of reasons. But should we wrap our car keys too? Modern cars are programmed to listen for an electronic signal from a key fob to unlock your doors wirelessly. It’s convenient, but it comes at a price: The key fob’s signal is easy for criminals to intercept. They have ways to open your car without setting off any alarms. If you have a keyless car model, they might be able to just drive away.
