Patents have always been important to inventors. They allow them to keep others from profiting from their ideas. Once a patent is confirmed, they typically become public and anyone can see how the design was made. But, that’s not always the case. It turns out the government is hiding thousands of patents from the public, and the reason may seem a little strange.
