“Keep the change!” Who hasn’t said this at one time or another? Pennies seem to cause more annoyance than good anyway, bogging down pockets and taking up valuable space in car center-consoles everywhere. They even cost more to make than they’re valued at! Wouldn’t it be easier just to round up? Well, there’s reasons behind why we have the penny — and surprisingly enough, they’re still needed by a variety of groups. Apologies in advance to Mr. Lincoln.
