One of the most powerful creators of energy today is something scientists call nuclear fusion. But they have recently discovered another type of fusion that may be ten times stronger than nuclear: quark fusion! Quarks are subatomic particles carrying a fractional electric charge, and are the building blocks of hadrons. They haven’t been directly observed, but despite their small size, quarks have a huge impact in science. Theoretically, quark fusion could be the future of energy. But how?
