Since Panda bears are native to China, that means the bulk of responsibility for preserving the species and rebuilding the wild populations is on Chinese panda bear breeders. But the recent decline in population isn’t the only thing that’s an obstacle for bringing panda numbers back — it’s the pandas themselves. Pandas are particularly difficult to breed, and even more difficult to keep alive as babies.
