How Mars photos inspired the first CGI

These days we might take computer generated images (CGI) for granted. Most pieces of entertainment or art have some form of CGI in them but this obviously wasn’t always the case. In the 1970s, computers were becoming more powerful and one sci-fi TV show had the idea to add technology utilized in space missions for a greater feeling of realism and it spawned a revolution.
