How Disney created a Luke Skywalker deepfake

Deepfakes can be a scary prospect. The concept of digitally altering a video to make it appear like the subject is someone else entirely opens up a new realm of possibilities. It’s becoming more common than you may realize, though. Disney, in fact, recently used deepfake technology in its series, “The Mandalorian,” making Luke Skywalker look just as he did in the 1970s. So how did they do it?
