Forty days of complete darkness envelop this Greenland town

If being in total darkness for 40 days in the harsh winter landscape wasn’t bad enough, an Inuit fisherman and his family have to deal with thinning ice. This means less time for fishing from the ground, and an overall shift in their way of life. It’s fascinating how the first rays of light illuminate the changing landscape.
