When you turn on your computer, it takes a few minutes for it to boot up. It has to load the operating system, virus protection programs and anything else you have preset before you can get started. Well, that might be a thing of the past as a new technology seems to be taking over the world of memory. The solid state drive, as opposed to a standard hard drive, does not have moving parts and can boot up instantaneously. This might be a big game changer for all of us.
