Making Google Home more accessible

Voice-activated smart speakers and home assistants make life easier, but what about people who can’t speak? Kim talks to Lorenzo Caggioni, a Google Strategic Cloud Engineer, who wanted to make the technology accessible to his brother, Giovanni. Giovanni, who has Down syndrome and is legally blind, is non-verbal. Lorenzo worked to make the family’s Google Home system work for his brother, giving him more independence and access to the same technology the rest of the family uses.
