It’s hard to imagine just how busy the space beyond the Earth’s atmosphere really is. But in reality, there are millions of debris floating around, from old satellites to nuts and bolts from launched spaceships, to even astronaut gloves left behind. Although these objects may seem harmless, they can do some real damage if they decide to float back through Earth’s atmosphere. But fear not, because the U.K.’s Surrey Space Centre has created a device that might just be the solution to space junk.
