How Mars photos inspired the first CGI

These days we might take computer generated images (CGI) for granted. Most pieces of entertainment or art have some form of CGI in them but this obviously wasn’t always the case. Back in the 1970’s computers were beginning to become more powerful and one sci-fi television show had the idea to use technology utilized in space missions to give a greater feeling of realism to their show and it spawned a revolution.
