Trick to remember all the movies and shows you want to watch

The entertainment industry has gone gangbusters in recent years. There is a seemingly infinite amount of new movies and TV shows to catch. With all this content, sometimes we forget about shows or movies we planned to watch.

Well, as with most things in the digital world, there’s an easy-to-use tool that can help you keep track of all the content you want to view — and it allows you to keep all your entertainment choices organized.

Google has these things called Knowledge Graph cards that help make your searches more convenient. Tap or click here to learn more about Knowledge Graphs. The latest Knowledge Graph card is all about movies. We’ll show you how it works.

Never forget again

The next time you Google a movie from your phone or tablet, you might notice some interesting features beneath your search. Right underneath the movie title, you’ll see three options: Watch now, Watched it? and Watchlist.

Note: This is only applicable to mobile devices.

Click “Watch Now” to see where to stream the movie you want to watch. This is an easy way to find out if it’s available on one of the streaming services you already subscribe to. Tap or click here for our streaming service comparison chart.

Clicking “Watched it?” adds the title to Google’s memory. So the next time you look up this movie, it comes up as “Watched.” This feature is great for those who forget which films they’ve already seen — particularly if they’re older movies.

If you tap the “Watchlist” button, Google adds the title to a list you can reference later. This can be incredibly useful, since many of us Google movies and want to watch them, but don’t have two spare hours at the moment. Then, when we do have time, we forget all about it.

Now, the next time your friend tells you about a new movie they saw, you can Google it and add it to your Watchlist. Then, the next time you’re scrolling through streaming sites, just pop open your list. Here’s how.

  • After you search for a movie, click on the three horizontal lines in the top left corner, which will open up your options.

  • Then tap on Collections.

  • This will bring you to your Watchlist. Now you’ll never forget what you want to watch.

That’s it! Don’t see this feature on your phone yet? It’s rolling out now, so you can expect it soon.

While other search engines have come and gone, Google’s helpful options like these keep us coming back. Tap or click here for 10 hidden Google search features and get the most out of your searches.
