Zoom lifts call limits for Christmas – here’s how to celebrate virtually

Fortunately for all of us, Zoom has been listening to user feedback. The company has pledged to drop the 40-minute call limit just in time for Christmas and New Year’s! Will you be meeting with your relatives online in time for a virtual dinner?
Zoom is bringing us all home for the holidays
Zoom announced by tweet that it would be removing the 40-minute call limit for all users just in time for the holidays. The goal is to help slow the spread of COVID-19 by encouraging families to meet online instead of in person.

New and existing Zoom users won’t have to do anything extra to take advantage of extended calls. The app will automatically make the adjustments once the extended limit arrives.
It’s an excellent opportunity for everyone to enjoy the company of loved ones without risking infection. With how easily COVID-19 can spread inside, some medical researchers are urging restraint during holiday get-togethers.
Here’s how you can set up a call:
- If you will be hosting the meeting, visit zoom.us and create an account.
- Sign in, click My Account, then click Schedule a Meeting.
- Fill in the details about your meeting and click Save when you’re finished. You can choose to add your meeting to your Google or Outlook Calendar here.
- Click Copy Invitation, then click Copy meeting invitation to copy it. Email your guests with this information and the meeting time.
