Write an email but have it sent at future date and time
Don’t you just love how easy it is to communicate with friends who live thousands of miles away nowadays? I am old enough to remember the days of snail-mail when you had to hand-write a letter, pop it in the mailbox and wait a couple weeks to hear back from them. If they responded at all.
Now, we simply type up an email and hit send. We can accomplish in minutes what used to take weeks.
However, there are occasions when I don’t want my message to be read immediately. For example, I want my birthday greeting emails to be delivered on the recipient’s actual birthday.
It would be nice to have a way to schedule emails to be sent at a future date and time. Good news, this cool site lets you do just that.
LetterMeLater.com allows you to send emails at any future date and time that you choose.
With this service, you can write emails with your existing email address, and they will be sent at the exact moment you specify. Down to the minute. Once you’ve created a free account, you can use LetterMeLater without having to visit the site. Here’s how:
- Create an email that you would like to have delivered at a later date like normal. It can even be a reply or forwarded email.
- Address the email to Me@LetterMeLater.com.
- Put the recipient’s email address, along with the time to send, at the top of the message. (Note: This text will be removed from the email when it’s sent.)
- You will immediately receive a response, indicating whether the email was scheduled successfully or not. If it was, you’ll see the email in your LetterMeLater account.
