Curious as to how this unique platform works? The process is quick and straightforward. There are three different browsing options when visiting Cameo.com. You can type a specific name into the search bar, browse through the categories or search by recommended or price.
Once you have chosen your talent, you will fill out a request form with your recipient’s name and your message. Input your credit card information, and voilà, done. You will receive a confirmation email with your order details.
Now you wait for your Cameo to arrive in your email box or as a text in your messaging app if you chose the text option.
Note: Cameo will place an initial hold on your card and process the charge when the video is complete.
The cost of a Cameo shout-out
The good news is you don’t have to break the bank to order a video from Cameo.com. With fees set by the individual talent, you will notice prices range from free to over $1,000, with many averaging between $25 to $100.
Participating talent can designate their fees received to a charity of their choosing. So you may be helping others while delighting your recipient with a Cameo.
How long will it take to receive your Cameo?
In addition to the varying prices per talent, so does the length of time it takes for him or her to respond with the completed video. While many reply within hours, some may take a few days.
If for some reason your talent does not complete the video within seven days, your request will expire and your credit card will not be charged.
Sharing your Cameo
After you receive your completed Cameo and download it, the video is yours to share with whoever you wish. Want to post in on Facebook? You are free to share the cameo across social media. Go ahead, spread the awesomeness around!
