📊 How to build a pitch deck in Claude in 3 minutes

What’s new: Claude builds your deck (not just outlining), then lets you download it as PowerPoint or PDF.
Claude Slides (web and iOS)
- Open Settings > tap Capabilities.
- Toggle on Code execution and file creation. That’s the switch that lets Claude write files.
- Return to chat > paste the prompt below.
- Download as PowerPoint or PDF.
- Ask Claude to change slides in plain English.
If you use another assistant:
- Use the same prompt in ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot. All three can produce slides.
- Check the vendor’s help page for where file creation lives in your version. These menus move constantly, and a wrong tap sends you to the wrong place.
đź“‹ Try this prompt:
Build a 7-slide pitch deck for [who you’re pitching]. The goal: Get them to [the decision you want]. Here are my facts: [paste your notes, prices, dates, results]. Rules: Use only the facts I gave you. If a slide needs a number I didn’t provide, write [NEED: ___] instead of guessing. One idea per slide, a headline that states the takeaway and no more than three bullets. End with the exact ask and next step. Then list the three toughest questions this audience will ask, with answers from my facts.
That [NEED: ___] line carries a lot of weight. Claude is confident about structure but can be careless with your figures, so force it to raise its hand instead of filling the gap with something that sounds about right.
Make it look like yours: On paid plans, upload your logo and an old deck you like, and Claude builds a reusable brand kit (currently in beta). Future decks come out in your colors and fonts. On the free plan, type your brand colors and font names into the prompt, or link a screenshot to a style you like.
⚠️ The catch: Three minutes gets you a first draft, not a finished deck. Check numbers against your notes because AI will happily round, merge or improve a figure without telling you. Brand kits are paid-only and in beta.
On privacy: Anthropic says it doesn’t train its models on your chats by default, but your deck contents travel through the service, so keep client financials and anything under NDA out unless your company has cleared the tool.
Your move this week: Pick one thing on your calendar that needs slides. A budget update, a team meeting, a pitch. Run the prompt. Time it. Then send this to whoever on your team needs it.
