If you are a fan of Apple, this is a very exciting time. Earlier this year the tech giant released the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus and finally made some much needed upgrades to the MacBook Pro. All of that AND 2017 is the 10-year anniversary of the iPhone, so we are expecting some very exciting things to come.
Apple even made the biggest update to its operating system in September when it released iOS 10. In fact, there are probably a number of iOS 10 features that you don't even know exist.
To help you have the best experience with the operating system, here are 7 iOS 10 features that you're going to love.
1. Siri announces who's calling
When your iOS gadget is connected to your car or headphones through Bluetooth, Siri will let you know who's on the line when you are getting a call. This is a great safety feature for when you are driving, since you don't have to look at the phone. To take advantage of the Announce Calls feature you need to enable it. Go to Settings >> Phone >> Announce Calls.
From the Announce Calls screen you have a few options to choose from. You can have Siri announce who's calling Always, when you're connected through Bluetooth to Headphones & Car, Headphones Only, or you can select Never.
2. Find your parked car
If your car can connect to your phone through Bluetooth or Apple CarPlay, you can get help remembering where you parked your car. Once you park, Apple Maps marks your car's location and it will be shown on the map. You have to be able to receive a GPS signal for this feature to work, so it might not function properly in an underground parking garage.
You will need to turn this feature on to use it. Go to Settings >> Maps and then slide the toggle to the right to enable it.
