Another weekend will be here before you know it. That means it's time to figure out what you want to watch this weekend for movie night. This week, we've got some new Netflix picks, as well as new releases you don't want to miss.

The Seige of Jadotville

Starring: Jamie Dornan, Jason O'Mara, Mark Strong

Rated: NR

Synopsis: "Irish Commandant Pat Quinlan leads a standoff with troops against French and Belgian Mercenaries in the Congo during in the early 1960s."

Why you'll love it: This true story shows us a lesser-publicized event that follows a handful of brave, heroic soldiers despite the grave conditions amid a chaotic political climate.

The Imitation Game

Starring: Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode

Rated: PG-13

Synopsis: "During World War II, mathematician Alan Turing tries to crack the enigma code with help from fellow mathematicians."

Why you'll love it: Nominated for several different awards, this brilliant true story manages to make math interesting and has also been hailed as one of Cumberbatch's better performances.

Why you'll love it: Despite being a streaming original, it's got a laugh track, making it feel like a good old-fashioned sitcom. The characters are relatable and this show has been called another home run for Netflix originals.

Chinatown

Starring: Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway

Rated: R

Synopsis: "A private detective hired to expose an adulterer finds himself caught up in a web of deceit, corruption and murder.

Why you'll love it: Directed by Roman Polanski, this movie has been called the film to cement Jack Nicholson's superstar status. It was nominated for 11 Oscars including Best Picture back in 1974.
