How to use offline maps in Windows 10

Windows 10 is proving to be a more user-friendly operating system than many were anticipating. Increased control over programs, a wider variety of apps, and better multitasking features are all contributing factors. One of the new features that you should know about is downloading maps for offline use.

You can do this from your laptop, desktop or tablet; and unlike Google Maps, you're not limited to the size of the area you want to download.

To download the maps for anywhere in the world, open the Maps app. Find the option that says: "Download or update maps" in the general settings menu. You're taken to your computer's offline settings. From that menu click: "Download maps" and select the continent, country and specific region you wish to download. You can have maps of entire states and even some countries!

So the next time you need to look at the map and don't have Wi-Fi readily available, just open up your downloaded map to help you get to where you need to go!

If you're looking for a Windows 10 device that's reliable on the go, check out the KomandoTab 2! It runs a full version of Windows 10 and is only available right here!
