The Windows 10 Start Menu has a lot going on. Fortunately, you can customize it and make it easier to navigate by choosing which folders appear, hiding apps, and using the menu full screen.
First, choose which folders appear on Start by going to your Personalization settings. Select the “Start” tab and the click the link that says: “Choose which folders appear on Start.” From here, toggle the folders you want to appear. You can always go back and change this setting again.
Next, you can hide your most recently and frequently used apps. Go to your Personalization settings and click the “Start” tab. You’ll see options that say: “Show most used apps” and “Show recently added apps.” Switch both to off.
Lastly, you can use the Start menu in full-screen mode. Once again, click the “Start” in your Personalization settings. Look for the option that says: “Use full-screen Start when in the desktop” and turn it on.
