Nowadays, you don't have to spend a fortune to get a great Android smartphone experience. Even premium features that used to be reserved for more expensive models are now starting to trickle down to the more budget friendly handsets.
You may not be getting all the bells and whistles of higher end models, but you do get the full Android smartphone treatment and a fatter wallet to boot.
Here are our five picks for the best Android smartphones you could get for under $200.
Motorola Moto G
For under $200, the 3rd generation Motorola Moto G was the long-standing best value smartphone around. (But maybe not for long. As evidenced by this list, the competition is getting stiffer. Also, the even cheaper $149 Amazon Prime Exclusive 4th Generation Moto G with upgraded specs is right around the corner).
The 3rd generation specs are nothing to write home about. It has a decent Snapdragon 410 processor, 16GB storage and 2GB memory, brilliant enough for everyday smartphone use. The 720p screen may be a little outdated, but it gets the job done as far as budget phones go. These processor and screen specs actually make this phone's great battery life possible. The rear and front cameras are 5MP and VGA, respectively, but you will not be getting this phone for cutting edge camera tech anyway.
There is no Quick Charge nor NFC but standard features like LTE, GPS, Bluetooth and expandable microSD card memory are all here making this under $200 phone one of the better buys.
