You love sharing photos to your social media account, but unless they’re stored on your smartphone, computer or tablet, it’s a pain to get them uploaded or scanned. But now there’s an easy way to share your photos on Facebook without a bunch of unnecessary steps.

We’ve got a secret that will save you time, and make it easier to stay connected. Did you know you can share images using your printer?

Our sponsor, Epson, wanted you to know about this helpful feature on its Expression Small-in-One home printer.

At first you might wonder why you'd ever need your printer for something like that. But, our guess is that the answer is lying around somewhere in your house. Maybe it's tucked under your bed, or is stashed away in the closet - but somewhere, there's probably a box of old printed photos that you don't know what to do with.

Some of those photos may even be family heirlooms, like old black-and-whites of your distant relatives. Some might be more recent, but capture special events like your first high school dance, your wedding or the birth of your children. No matter what types of photographs you're storing, don't you want a better way to display them?

That's where the Epson Small-in-One printer comes in handy. To get started, the first thing you'll need to do is install Epson's Easy Photo Scan Software on your computer (this software is included when you purchase the printer). Then, follow these steps to scan and share your photos.

1. Prepare and preview your scan

Select which image you'd like to share, and place it face-down on the scanning bed. You can position it in the lower left-hand corner, or center it if you'd like to have a bit of a border.

Next, launch the Easy Photo Scan Software on your computer, then click "Preview". This causes the printer to scan the item, and will show you what your final scan will look like. Make adjustments as needed, then click "Scan" when you're ready to go.

2. Edit your image

When the printer has completed the scan, you'll see your image pop up on a window on your screen. From there, you can edit your image within the Easy Photo Scan Software. The software includes built-in tools such as cropping, enhancements, red eye reduction and more.

3. Share your image

Once you're happy with your image, it's really easy to share it on Facebook. Just click the Facebook icon that's shown on the toolbar, and you'll be prompted to log in.
