Great TV shows and movies shouldn't be hard to find. Fun shows, either. After all, there are thousands of new TV episodes and hundreds of new movies coming out every year. The problem is, the sheer number of titles is overwhelming.
Just try scrolling through Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and all the free networks on your streaming media player, and you get the idea. You can spend an entire weekend flipping around from one movie to another and you still end up saying, "There's nothing to watch." Which is understandable, but thankfully not true. You just need to know what's worth watching, and where to find it.
Good news. We've figured that out for you. Here are three terrific TV shows that we recommend, and a true story about a remarkable woman that your whole family will love. Let's get started with "Jeopardy," just not the one you're thinking of.
1. Sports Jeopardy
Where to stream it: Crackle (free).
Overview: Hosted by Dan Patrick; from Sony Pictures Television.
If you're one of the 8 million people who watch "Jeopardy" every night, you know why it's been one of TV's most popular game shows for 32 years.
It's fun and challenging. Instead of earning money for giving the correct answer to a question, you give the correct question to the answer. For instance, you'd say, "What is nosebleed" for the answer, "Sanguinary name for a section of seats high up in a stadium."
You may not know this, but there's another "Jeopardy" on TV, and it's from the same Hollywood studio that produces the original. "Sports Jeopardy" is hosted by legendary sportscaster Dan Patrick and streams free on Crackle.
It's a half-hour show with a new episode every Wednesday, all year long. It's now in its second season. So, if you haven't seen it yet, you can imagine how many days you could binge on it.
Mini-Review: "Combines the excitement and prestige of the popular show 'Jeopardy!' with the rich and diverse world of sports." (Forbes.)
