If you've got plans this weekend, change them. This is a great weekend to stay in and binge some videos. Some of TV's best shows are now streaming for free.

These are award-winning shows with stellar casts, complex yet fun storylines and characters who are so well-rounded and relatable (or hateable) that you'll want to start watching from episode one and keep watching to the season finale.

These three must-see shows, which you can start streaming on your TV or digital device right now, include the highly anticipated return of "House of Cards," a sci-fi revival, and an action heroine who's beautiful and throws a mean right hook.

Plus, you can stream this year's Oscar winner for Best Picture. If you've got your popcorn and remote control ready, you may also want to turn off your phone and dim the lights. This is going to be a great weekend.

1. House of Cards

Where to stream it: Netflix

Overview: Starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright; from Trigger Street Productions.

When Netflix's "House of Cards" with Kevin Spacey debuted three years ago, it completely changed the way the world thinks about TV. It was one of Netflix's first original shows and, this was weird at the time, all 13 episodes were released on the same day.

Now, Netflix and its competitors stream dozens of original programs. Yet, "House of Cards" is still one of TV's best dramas. The show and its cast and crew have won several awards, including Emmy Awards.

So, how does the fourth season of "House of Cards" compare to previous seasons? Well, this may be the best season so far. Kevin Spacey's ruthless President Francis Underwood's life is crumbling at home and on the campaign trail. And, we won't spoil it, but there's another politician in the family, and she's equally ruthless.

Mini-Review: "Eminently watchable, in large part a testimonial to the splendid casting." (Variety.)
