The clock is ticking down on Amazon Prime Day, but if you act fast you can still find some great deals. Amazon Prime Day began on July 15 and ends today at 11.59 p.m., Pacific time.
Prime members are enjoying discounts on a number of items in a variety of categories. While the vast bulk of Amazon Prime deals are for members only, some companies have taken the opportunity to offer discounts on Amazon not tied to membership.
Apple, in particular, has some items that are for sale for everyone. Here are some of the deals you can get on Apple products, as well as two nifty cooking tools for Prime members.
Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones
Beats Solo3 Wireless headphones by Apple are trendy and have up to 40 hours of battery life. Even better, just five minutes of charging gives you three hours of playback when your battery is low
The Wi-Fi Beats have an adjustable fit with comfort-cushioned ear cups. While you’re listening to music you also can take calls, control your music and activate Siri with the multifunction on-ear controls.
Apple MacBook Air (13-inch Retina display)
The MacBook has been one of the most popular laptops of all time, with the Air model taking things to another level. The Apple MacBook Air is great for people who are on the go and need something powerful in a light-weight package.
It received an update last year and now rocks a 13.3-inch Retina Display and sports thinner black bezels that are 50% smaller than the old MacBook Air. The trackpad is also 20% bigger and it now supports Force Touch.
The processor was also updated to the 8th-gen Intel Core i5 chip. Security-wise, this MacBook Air now uses Touch ID for many functions such as logins, Apple Pay and passwords.
This particular MacBook Air has 8GB RAM, two Thunderbolt-3 USB-C ports, but, alas, no regular USB-A ports. That means you’ll need a dongle if you want to use older USB accessories.
Apple AirPods with Charging Case (Latest Model)
The new Apple AirPods model looks identical to the originals on the outside, but the H1 chip powering the headphones packs up to 50% more talk time and twice-as-fast connection speeds to your device. You can even access Siri using just your voice with the always-on “Hey Siri” feature.
Most notably, the new generation of AirPods introduces an optional Wireless Charging Case for on-the-go power. They charge quickly in the case and the AirPods emit rich, high-quality audio and voice sound.
In addition, the sound is seamless when switching between devices. You can listen and talk all day with multiple charges from the Charging Case.
Apple iPad (Wi-Fi, 32GB)
You’ll want to snatch up the iPad (Wi-Fi, 32GB) with a 9.7-inch Retina Display. There’s a reason why the iPad’s 9.7-inch display has endured through the years — it’s just about right in terms of screen size and portability.
While it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the iPad Pro, the basic iPad’s Retina Display is still very good. For everyday use, you probably won’t even notice the difference.
This iPad finally supports the Apple Pencil. Now, everyone can take advantage of the Apple Pencil’s on-screen drawing capabilities.
Instant Pot DUO Plus 60
The Instant Pot was introduced in 2010 and quickly became a fan favorite. The creators set out to “find solutions that would enable busy families and professionals to prepare quality food in less time, promoting better eating and reducing the consumption of fast food.”
With the ability to be a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, yogurt maker, cake maker, egg cooker, saute, steamer, warmer and sterilizer, the Instant Pot can take care of pretty much whatever it is that needs to be done.
The Instant Pot DUO Plus 60 claims to combine nine kitchen appliances in one to save you space. With 15 one-touch cooking presets you can make an array of recipes quickly.
It cooks up to 70% faster and cleans up easily. It comes with a fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel lid and components and accessories that are dishwasher safe.
AmazonBasics Microwave with Echo Dot (3rd Gen.)
Now it’s easier to defrost vegetables, make popcorn, cook potatoes and reheat rice with the AmazonBasics Microwave and the Echo Dot (3rd Gen). You can ask Alexa to start microwaving thanks to quick-cook voice presets and a simplified keypad.
Its compact size saves counter space, plus has 10 power levels, a kitchen timer, a child lock, and a turntable. Hey Alexa, microwave me some popcorn.
