Things NOT to buy on FB Marketplace

I love saving money as much as the next person, and buying big-ticket items used is a good way to do it. Facebook Marketplace is a super easy way to score deals near you … but there are certain things you should stay far away from.

Don’t trust Amazon reviews: More proof is out that Amazon sellers are trading cash and free products for five-star ratings. Some even pay for negative reviews on competitors’ pages. Tips to spot the fakes? Language and timing. Look for multiple reviews using similar phrasing with no details.

Do you know when your phone expires?

All phones have expiration dates but they vary brand to brand. To save you the trouble, I put together a list of all phones and their expiration dates. Just search ‘phone expiration.’
