Recall alert! Check your home for these products

Mass-produced products will always have a few bad batches that get returned for defects or quality control issues. When enough of these defects pose a safety hazard, that’s where product recalls come in.

When a recall happens, consumers should stop using the item and await further instructions from the manufacturer. The Consumer Product Safety Commission puts out regular updates to make these recalls easier to find. Tap or click here to see which products were recalled in October 2020.

These five newly listed products are known to pose safety hazards right out of the box. If you’ve already started holiday shopping, make sure the gifts you bought aren’t under recall.

Any coffee mug can be dangerous if the lid isn’t secure. About 241,500 Yeti travel mugs are being recalled for a defect in the lid’s magnetic slider that can break and cause the liquid inside to spill out. If the contents are hot enough, like coffee or tea, it can cause burns and injury.

The recall includes travel mugs with the date code 34204010.  You can find the date code printed on the bottom of the mug.
