You never know where you’re going to find creative inspiration. It might come from a classic piece of music that speaks to you. Maybe it’s just natural talent that you have to share with the world.
You won’t believe where this aspiring roboticist found his inspiration: a hacked Big Mouth Billy Bass, The Singing Sensation.
McGurrin turned his Alexa into a spooky talking skull. It’s especially creepy when the skull starts nodding and its eyes begin to look around. Watch this video for a quick demonstration:
We might see more of these creative little items popping up in the future since Alexa can be integrated into many items. On its site, Amazon posted:
“The Alexa Voice Service (AVS) API allows developers to voice-enable connected products with a microphone and speaker. Once integrated, your product will have access to the built-in capabilities of Alexa (like music playback, timers and alarms, package tracking, movie listings, calendar management and more) and third-party skills developed using the Alexa Skills Kit.”
Who knows? Maybe this talking Alexa skull will inspire the next viral invention.
