Want free Beats headphones? This is a deal you can't miss

It’s the middle of summer and the last thing your kids want to think about is returning to school in the fall. But new clothes, school supplies, and tech gear make the thought of going back a little more bearable.

If you’re sending your high school graduate off to college in a few weeks then this is one deal you don’t want to miss. Apple’s back to school sale is a special promotion just for college students.

If a person currently enrolled in college purchases a Mac or iPad Pro, Apple will give them a free pair of wireless Beats headphones. Parents who are purchasing the product on behalf of their child, employees of K-12 schools, and faculty/staff of higher education institutions are also eligible for this offer. The promotion ends on September 25.

According to Apple’s terms and conditions, Macs that qualify for this deal include the iMac, Mac Pro, MacBook, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air.  “Configure-to-order” versions of these Macs are also eligible. The iPad Pro is the only product from the iPad family that is eligible for the offer.

Eligible buyers (college students, parents, and school officials) will have to verify their status. Then they will be able to choose from free Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones (savings of $299.95), Powerbeats3 Wireless Earphones (savings of $199.95) or BeatsX Earphones (savings of $149.95).

In addition to the free Beats headphones, you can also save up to $300 on the purchase of your Mac and get $20 off the price of the iPad Pro. Unfortunately, refurbished, “end of life” and open box products do not qualify for this deal. The offer can be combined with other Apple promotions that were sent to specific customers.

College students who don’t already have Apple Music can get a free three-month trial. After the trial ends, student subscriptions to the service are only $4.99 per month. Click here to look at Apple’s Education Store and see what else is on sale.

P.S. Apple offers free, daily educational sessions at all of their stores. “Today at Apple” offers over 60 different sessions that will last from 60-90 minutes for people of different ages and skill levels. Topics include coding, incorporating technology into the classroom, editing and so much more.
