YouTube TV is now available to everyone in the U.S.
What comes to mind when you hear the term streaming service? You probably think about Netflix, where you can binge-watch multiple seasons of your favorite shows all at once.
But the streaming service world is constantly evolving. Many streamers now offer live TV, filling the void for those who were worried about not being able to watch things like sports and news if they got rid of cable.
YouTube TV is an example of a streaming service that offers live TV. It launched a couple years ago, but hasn’t been available to everyone in the U.S. Until now.
What is YouTube TV?
Isn’t YouTube the site you visit to watch all those funny cat videos and learn how to whip up a quick dinner? Sure, it still has all that content you’ve come to know and love. However, in 2017 it entered the world of streaming services.
YouTube TV is cable-free live TV that you can stream through its app. For just $40 per month you have access to over 60 live channels that include AMC, Bravo, CNN, ESPN, ESPN 2, Fox News, NBA TV, TBS, TNT and more.

There has been a problem, though. It wasn’t available everywhere. That recently changed.
Apparently, Glendive, Montana, was the last television market in the U.S. without YouTube TV. Until this week. The company sent a tweet announcing it’s finally made it to Montana.

If you sign up with YouTube TV, you get six accounts per household so everyone gets their own login. The star of the show is probably its cloud DVR, which comes with no storage limits. So you’ll never run out of space and can record everything you want. You can keep recordings for up to 9 months.
Then, you can stream your library wherever you go. Unlimited DVR storage is almost unheard of, and it doesn’t cost extra.
