Virtual graduation 2020: Watch it live on Facebook
Out of all the groups impacted by COVID-19, America’s graduating seniors may bear some of the most significant social scars. Not only were they robbed of their end of year festivities like prom, grad night and others, but they’ve also lost out on once-in-a-lifetime commencement ceremonies.

But graduates need not stay disappointed for long, because virtual graduation will be a star-studded affair! Thanks to Facebook, some of the biggest celebrities and performers are gathering in honor of the Class of 2020 — and everyone is invited. Here’s how you can watch the event online.
Facebook does something decent for humanity
Facebook has officially announced its epic commencement event for the Class of 2020 will be streamed online via Facebook Watch and the Facebook App.
This event will host a number of major celebrities, including a highly anticipated appearance by Oprah Winfrey, who will deliver the commencement speech. Other performers will offer musical events, comedy routines and events celebrating the Class of 2020’s star athletes.

Some more good news: John Krasinski hosts a virtual graduation
Facebook isn’t the only one paying attention to deprived graduates this year. John Krasinski, star of NBC’s beloved sitcom “The Office” and host of SomeGoodNews, has posted a few videos to his YouTube channel in the hopes of helping the Class of 2020 through these unusual times.
SomeGoodNews is an independent news broadcast that highlights optimistic stories from around the world as a counterbalance to all the negativity on the airwaves. In his latest few episodes, John threw a virtual prom for viewers to attend — complete with goofy tuxedos and balloons.
And to cap it off, you can even watch the virtual commencement ceremony John puts on (with the help of some other notable guests like Stephen Spielberg as well).
As bad as things are, who wouldn’t love to have some of the biggest names in movies and TV attend your class’ graduation? Even if they don’t get to do the full-fledged grad-walk in front of their families, nobody will ever forget the Class of 2020 and the most unique commencement ceremonies in history.
