From my home to yours, Merry Christmas!
We were all reminded these past months just how instrumental technology is in all our lives. It has powered so much connection and togetherness in a time when we’re apart from those we love. Think about all the families and friends staying in touch via Zoom and the businesses, like mine, operating from home.
As I sit down to think about all that we’ve overcome and all the great things coming in 2021, I can’t help but be extremely thankful. My family is healthy and happy. My mother has surpassed the odds of Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and is now 100% cancer-free.
Over this year that’s felt out of our control, I’ve focused my energy on the foundation that my career is built on: helping others.
Random Acts of Kindness
Earlier this month, I got a call from Brother Tim, a monk who runs a local food bank. We configured and set him up with a year of auto attendant phone service so he can sleep through the night. My heart is full knowing how much my small action will help him and the community he serves.
We sent Tianna, an amazing girl from Palmyra, Pennsylvania, all the parts she needed to build a PC. I was thrilled to get back photos of her assembling her new computer. She did everything perfectly, by the way. A digital goddess in training!
I heard from Katy in Augusta, Maine who wanted to give her artistic son a new digital drawing tablet but money was tight. Instead of suggesting a cheap option, I gave her a drawing tablet I know her kiddo will love for years.
I sent my favorite portable charger to a Mom whose daughter is heading off to Army boot camp.
Erin in Bloomington called because she needed a laptop to find work. I sent her one.
In fact, I sent so many people new to working from home laptops and other gear to get started all throughout the pandemic.
And I can’t tell you how many memberships we’ve given away to the Komando Community. It’s a safe, private place for like-minded folks to talk tech, get help and connect with new friends. Stop by! You can try it yourself for 30 days on me at getkim.com.
All of this good is possible because of all of you, who listen to my national radio show, read our daily newsletters, visit the website, download our podcasts and reach out to me however you can. On behalf of my team and I, thank you.
Every morning I pray for each and every one of you. Thank you for being a blessing to me this Christmas.
Love,
