Don’t you just love the holiday season? People seem to be in better spirits this time of year.
If you’re having trouble getting into the Christmas spirit, this download might help. It’s a relatively new holiday tradition that people all over the globe are doing.
Of course, I’m talking about ElfYourself.
I’m sure you’ve seen one before. You know, those little fun videos that star you and your friends and family as little dancing elves for Christmas?
With the ElfYourself site (and accompanying apps), you can put your face and the face of friends and family onto elves’ bodies and watch them dance around to fun music, in fun places.
There are 21 different dances to choose from – break dancing, Charleston, hip-hop and even Elfspanol, so there’s something for everyone. It’s a riot – just imagine your friends dancing around in elf costumes to all sorts of funky tunes. Here’s an example of an ElfYourself video using characters from the TV series “The Simpsons.”
Getting started is simple. All you have to do is upload a photo that you want to use from your computer or Facebook. You can also take a new picture with your computer’s webcam. Make sure the photo includes a clear shot of your face.
Then, use the ElfYourself’s adjustment tool to fit the face into the character’s body. All that’s left to do is select your song. You can scroll through all 21 choices to choose which song works best for the friend or family member you’re creating the video for.
It’s that simple. When your video is wrapped up, you can send it to friends and family via email, Facebook, Twitter, or simply copy and paste the link. What great dances will you come up with?
You can either create your videos through the ElfYourself site or download the free app that is available for both iOS and Android. (Note: If you decide to download the videos you create to keep forever there might be a charge. Check with the ElfYourself site for details.)
Have an elfin-good time!
