Hidden features of the Komando.com app
The app also has some new features. We have improved article view with related content and provide easy navigation to the next story. We also have enhanced stream view with video previews and photo gallery mode. Go into the settings to control whether videos autoplay.
You can also get real-time traffic via Google maps, based on your location (you’ll need to allow the Komando.com app to know your location, which you can set to monitor only when you use the app, so it isn’t using valuable data or slowing down your phone when you’re not using the app).
Get real-time severe weather alerts
By default, your Komando app will send you notifications of severe weather based on your location. To change weather notifications, go to the home screen and click “Locations” on the weather module. Here you can change your default location, turn off and on severe weather notifications, and add cities, which is especially helpful if you travel or have family who lives in different parts of the country. Scroll down to the bottom of the weather locations screen and tap “+Add Location.” To download the free Komando.com app, use the links we’ve provided below inside the blue boxes. Or, for Apple gadgets tap or click here. For Android, click or tap here. As always, you can catch The Kim Komando show airing on the Bloomberg Television Network and listen to her live radio show, “The Kim Komando Show,” all across the country (tap or click here to find a station). There’s also our highly informative website, Komando.com, where you can find a wealth of consumer tech information.Tags: Apple, digital world
