For those of us at Komando.com who are car lovers, January is like Christmas. Not only does Barrett-Jackson’s first and biggest collector car auction take place near our hometown in Arizona, but the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) kicks off in Detroit. These shows are the best of the best. While Barrett-Jackson is like a tour of the evolution of the automobile, Detroit’s show is all about the future and automobile innovation.
Before we dive into the highlights of the NAIAS in Detroit, we want to tell you about Kim’s beautiful 1966 Chevrolet Corvette custom convertible for sale through Komando.com. It’s a phenomenal show car and an incredible driving machine.
It is equipped with all new electronic dash instruments, power steering, power brakes, power windows, AM/FM, power big block stinger hood, vintage heat and air.

Everyone is raving about the 2020 Toyota Supra. This became one of Toyota’s most iconic models after hitting the big screen years ago in “The Fast and the Furious.”
It’s been over 20 years since the Supra was sold in the U.S. and stopped being produced globally in 2002. But to many fans’ excitement, the Supra is making a comeback.

Here’s where luxury meets the car of the future. The IMs is a concept electric vehicle by Nissan and was described as “an elevated sports sedan.”
A Nissan rep said, “Advances in electric vehicle technology and autonomous driving have allowed our designers to break free of the platform and packaging rules that constrain traditional passenger vehicles, to create a completely new type of car. The IMs explores the limits of sedan design with an approach that elevates the category in both look and functionality.”

Ford says its new Mustang Shelby GT500 is the quickest street-legal Mustang in history. Now that’s saying something!
It boasts a 700-horsepower engine that makes it super fast. Ford gave details at the Detroit auto show this week and said it can go from 0 to 60 MPH in the “mid-3 second” range.

Here’s another concept car. This one comes from Lexus.
It’s an LC Convertible with a soft-top and would be the first Lexus convertible since 2015. Once it hits the market, if it ever does, it will be available with either a 5.0-liter V8 or a hybrid powertrain.

If a gigantic pickup truck is more your thing, look no further than the Ram HD by Fiat Chrysler. Two bigger and badder models, the 2500 and 3500, are coming later this year.
You can tow nearly 20,000 pounds with the 2500 model and over 35,000 pounds with the 3500 model. But don’t think that all this brawn leaves cool new tech behind. The 2019 Ram 3500 is available with a 12-inch touchscreen built into the dash. That’s the largest screen offered in a heavy-duty truck, according to Ram.
