Rare and amazing events happening in space in 2019

UPDATE: The first big celestial event of 2019 is taking place Sunday, Jan. 20.

The Super Wolf Blood Moon, which is a lunar eclipse with the moon at the closest point to the Earth, begins at 9:36 p.m. ET and will reach its peak at 12:12 a.m.
