When you gather together with friends and family for Thanksgiving dinner, you’ll probably see most of the basics: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, yams, cranberry sauce, rolls, etc.
However, depending on where you live, you might have another special dish. And it might be kind of weird to people who live somewhere else.
To prove the point, General Mills compiled search information to find the unique Thanksgiving dishes popular in each state with data from multiple sites. Let me tell you, there are some very interesting ones on here.
Other popular Google searches during Thanksgiving are for pies. Using data from Google Trends, hayneedle.com compiled the most searched for Thanksgiving recipes in each state.
Not surprisingly, Pumpkin pie was hands-down the winner in 26 states, followed by pecan pie and apple pie.
